If you have developed a new computer program, you can apply for registration of its source code or object code. The registration guarantees more security to its holder. The computer program registration is valid for 50 years from its creation or from January 1 of the year following its publication. The registration is valid in Brazil and in 176 other countries that signed the Berne Convention (1886).
